i just realised my last entry was few months ago! oh goodness. and one of my goal at the beginning of the year is to blog more. guess I’ve failed quite badly in this aspect.

anyways, exams are finally over! (: [sounds like the previous post?? that’s last semester!!] and the year is coming to an end! Just yesterday, I finally got a chance to slow down my life. I thought about what I’ve been through this year, and it might not be the most exciting year ever, but I think I’ve grow a lot, in my own perspective. (:

With all that I’ve gone through this year, I’ve learnt to trust God even more, in big or small situations. another level of faith! (: I’ve learnt to manage my life, time better this year, having a more balanced life; God, family, school, ministry, friendships. Most importantly, my love for God’s growing like never before! And I really love serving Him in big ways, small ways. doesn’t matter if there’s not leader positions, or any benefits that comes along with it. i JUST love doing things for my dearest!

and now that I’ve got the time, this holiday, I’m going to make things happen! breakthrough breakthrough breakthrough during this last month of the year! (:

I’m really excited about what’s coming up this dec! (: WOOHOOO!

had my last paper today, and the smell of freedom.. hmmm.. awesomeness!!

anyway, really enjoy half a day of not doing anything but just lazing around, and then went swimming with my daddy. =)

i met my ex-sec school teacher in the lift today. (ms phua)

she didn’t exactly teach me, but coz i was the student leader, so she knows me lah! =)

and and and, she went like “ are u seewan?” and i replied, “u remembered me? *lift brows!*” --- of cause!

hahaha. how could anyone forget seewan right? (:

i really love my name.. though it might not necessary sound great, but it’s an easy name to remember!

To the Chinese: “WASH BOWL” well, could anyone forget someone with a name like mine? =P

To the non-Chinese: “C1” heard many different versions of it

the Koreans say that c1 is a kind of wine popular in Korea. (:

the Indonesians/Philippines: it’s the name of some famous juice there.

and and, i have friends for all my modules except 1 –but i will make more!

I went out with Jeannette yesterday to manicure and watched movie.
we watched Twilight (which is super outdated, i know), but it’s nice! (:
and manicure for cheap cheap $12! =D decided to pamper myself before school starts.
so Jeannette went China during the holidays and she bought be a notebook, and looks nice~!

This is the pretty book and with my next semester lecture notes behind it. I’m actually reading my notes before hand, for the first time!! (: determined to do well this semester!!!!

I made these for my nus friends! (: They are the first few friends I’ve made in school and they are fun people! (:

BONG always provides FOOD for lectures. When I’m sleepy she’ll pull up a handful of lollipops from her ‘stash’ for me to choose! She also brought the Girl Guides cookies (which i love!!) and Hokkaido Chocolate for us! =D

JOANNA is kind of like the crazy one but the informative one. I’m always not too sure about the grades, when’s what test, which modules are easier, etc. She’ll inform us with the latest updates which we need to know. and with her around, I didn’t miss any important dates during my first semester! =D And not forgetting that she gives me morning call for my morning exams even if she’s not taking it!

JEANNETTE is actually from my JC, but we didn’t know each other then. Unfortunately, SRJC don’t really produce many university goers, and hence when we saw each other in nus, it immediately brought smiles to our faces to see people we know. and she’s my buddy as we take 3 modules together, and arrange to be in the same tutorial group. so, we’re like together most of the time.

There were other friends I met too, and they’re nice too! but these 3 are the closer ones.

Well, the first semester didn’t turn out well enough, academically. =x Didn’t know that time FLIES WITH THE SPEED OF LIGHT in nus. First, you thought u were a little lagging behind in tutorials, then came mid-term tests. And just when you thought you could pamper yourself a little with a short short break, Final Exams crept in. But nonetheless, I know it’s because I wasn’t prepared enough, and that I can’t blame anyone else except myself!

A new semester is starting and I’m determined to make this coming semester a MILLION times better than the first! (:

Can’t wait to start studying hard to glorify my King!!

you may not know, but I'm reading Joyce Meyer’s book ( borrowed from mengching a long time ago! =x SORRY MC!) called “knowing God intimately”. and i reached a new intimacy level 3 -- “Ever be filled” with the Holy spirit. And she mentioned one point about having a happy heart. A happy heart that constantly offer praises to our heavenly papa!

Eph 5:19
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

We should always have the right music in our hearts! and i remember times when I feel really happy throughout the day, I would have a happy song constantly played in my head. and I liked that. that liberty and freedom of my heart. and i think over the course of Christmas services, i lost the joy. But after reading all these, it’s a wake up call for me!
And after that, i went to my room and worshipping God and this REALLY OLD song came into my heart. I sang it during my very first cell group N163 and after we multiplied, this song hasn’t come to me until now.

went out with mama and sis to the popular expo sales and bought a

cookbook titled “BROWNIES FUDGES & TOPPINGS”. and

since i bought the book, and browsed through, my sister and i decided

to bake one today! (: and we baked TWO-TONE FUDGE

BROWNIES! =D it’s white and dark choc brownie, and it taste

really nice! surprisingly. =D usually, when i bake together with my sis,

we kind of fail. =x but but but, this time round, we managed to turn it

around! =)

the mess we made.. =x

and we actually failed the 1st time round. it was too runny, unlike the one shown in the book. so we tried to add more flour!

and so, it turned out like that! (: looks GOOD right?! HEEE! we were supposed to scoop balls of the mixture and place them in alternately. but we weren’t skilled enough to do that, so we spread it around instead. (:
and the outcome:

and it taste GOOD! the white choc part taste like subway’s macadamia nut cookie! (: and the dark choc part is really chocolaty!! =D

I blogged 21 times last year! (:
I know it’s not a lot, so this yearrr under the creativity part – BLOG AT LEAST 30 TIMES IN 2009!!
I’m not an artsy person, so writing essays is something i dread. blogging to me – is like writing essays ( shorter and more fun). and i think blogging will definitely help me in many ways! so that i can express myself better. coz sometimes i don’t organise my thoughts before i speak/write. but whatever it is, at least 30 blog entries by the end of 2009! =D

and from a JC student, i worked during the holidays, and got into uni!
God’s amazing, how he worked miracles!

lastly, i changed cellgroup, on my birthday week. AGAIN!
it’s been 2 months in e99 and i enjoyed every bit of it. =D

2008 is coming to an end and here comes 2009!
i did what was much needed for a new year --- PACKED MY TABLE and SETTING GOALS. =D
ahhh! (: and im READY for 2009!

cleaning at bro ed’s new house

today was a tiring yet satisfying day! (:

went to bro edmund and sis jiahui’s new house to help clean

their new house together with GJ, jingjing, kailin and xiaoshi. (:

well, I’ve never really done housework and I don’t really know

what cleaning agents to use to clean certain things.

but after the whole cleaning,

I know ONE super cleaning agent ---- CIF! =D

It’s use to clean almost everything in the kitchen!

first of all, I cleaned the metal racks from the stove

with CIF and a wired sponge. (but the wires kept getting stuck to the racks!)

GJ (with her height of 173cm) helped

to clean the blinds with CIF! (:

and Jingjing was cleaning the cupboards

with CIF CIF CIF! =D

but the only disadvantage of CIF is that

you need a lot of water to rinse off the soap.

GJ kept saying that the grey cupboards turned white.

(not because it’s clean but it was coated with a layer of CIF)

at the end of the cleaning,

there is this great sense of satisfaction that

I actually helped to clean a kitchen! =)

even with hands all wrinkled and dry,

I still enjoy it and I think I should help in spring cleaning

this coming new year!

*now I wish church would give out CIF as new year gift this year! (:

im back blogging again after super duperly long.(: actually, been spending my holidays at home due to the absence of MOOOLAAAH. and i cant blame anyone coz im not really actively looking for a job. =x maybe soon, i'll start looking for one with gwen. and what i've been doing at home -- TVing, neopets,exploring the photoshop!(: okay, i admit that blogging wasnt on my mind. except uploading photos on e99 blog. =D anyway, exploring photoshop is quite fun! and i kept laughing to myself when i distort my pictures.HAHA! WELL, im excited for christmas! gonna expect alot of fellowshipping from now on! and fellowshipping with my friends was what i missed out on during my exam period. so im really glad i can spend time with my friends again! =) gonna start preparing myself for this exciting season! *okayy -- i'll take more mooolah from my parents! =x

it's going to be 1 month into building fund, and im sooo excited! (: God blessed me ALOT ALOT ALOT last building fund and im really thrilled to see how my blessing are going to come in this time round! =) also, because of building fund, i LOST WEIGHT! *GAVE BIG WIDE SMILE i used to snack alot, and spend alot on food. but during this month, i've been trying to save up, that i skip meals, or get the cheapest food. well, in school canteens, food are cheap enough but i usually get the cheapest -- YONG TAU FOO. i knowww.. so healthy right? like just the ingredients with soup -- $1.50! cheap and gets me on my way to dieting. HAHA! im really happy coz i lost like 1.5kg this month. i didnt want to stop there, so i went jogging (and walking) at 7pm! im finally acting on what i've always wanted to do. and it feels good to work out! yay yay yay! it's the beginning of getting me to excercise ---- after 1 and 1/2 years! =D i'm loving it!

finally! exams are going to be over soon! (: the happiest thing --- NO MORE MATHS FOR THE TIME BEING. it's not that i dont like maths, and i actually do. but the pace of it is seriously fast. and there isn't sufficient time to practice. tutor give tutorial questions that are not covered in the lecture? well, im just glad this semester is over with just 1 paper to go! the days of less than 3 hrs of sleep and 1 meal everyday is over! (: FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM. i can smell it..

new cellgroup!

Decided to blog again after super long. There's this major change in N256 and as many of you know, it's jinlian becoming an adult cellgroup leader, which leaves the rest of us to go into the different cellgroups. am excited but a little disappointed at the same time - excited for a new environment, new leader to learn under. but disappointed as i had so little time with jinlian. I love her alot and i've been with her for barely a year. I wanted to learn more under her! but nevertheless, i know i can learn even more from my new cellgroup leader - Jerb. (: im in E99 now! with Yvonne, aaron and abel. =) and im excited to make a difference in where i am placed, E99. fellowshipped with them ystd after service. and i was with some of the students. but guess what! just before i was about to leave, then i realised that they were all new friends. =x soo actually, i kinda know the new friends better than the members! =P

studied at riverwalk with e zone members today. joined them at 6 and i studied for 1 hr (some of them were playing guitar and singing - music for us, HAHAHA!) anyway, after awhile, they left and santy came, WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH - i suppose- insisted on having dinner then and then. so we went BK for dinner till 8pm and went back to study till 9.30pm! And really, God answered my prayer - of MULTIPLYING MY TIME! (: in that short 2.5 hrs -WHICH IS E LONGEST I'VE STUDIED SO FAR EVER SINCE AFTER A'LEVELS - i completed alot of my work!

Anyway, WILLINGNESS is a big word in my life now: Especially now when i enter a new phase of life, i tell myself that it's not going to be like in JC where i get so stressed up with school work i neglect God. I want to all the more make this a breakthrough for me, being able to juggle school and serving well together.

Til now, school work is rushing in. Lectures needing to be revised, TutorialSSS to be done, homeworkSS to hand in. but nevertheless, im coping well! (: Really thank God everything is good, with good friends. We study together, teach each other when we're not clear. He's good, ALL THE TIME! (:

And even as i sacrifice my time to meet people and serve, i'm still able to complete my work! (: I'm determined to be a GOOD student as well as a GOOD servant of God! =D

2nd week of school

im getting used to nus already. although science school really old and boring, it's still a place very conducive for studying. i was utterly shocked by the FLOODING forum each modules have, where people already FINISHED tutorials, ask chiiiimm questions, discussing about abstract stuff, ON THE VERY FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL. gave me a scare. and a wake up call. im no longer HOLIDAYING. there's no BUFFER PERIOD of ice breaking in uni. I HAVE TO START STUDYING. im glad i didnt slack totally last week. did some tutorial. revised a little. i thought i was super hard work. but i guess it's nothing compare to the rest in Science!! Anyway, i had a great cellgroup last saturday! We sang " With all I am" and "We wholly follow You" and the presence of God was so strong and tangible. brought me back to the first love. and most of all, these songs were like the very prayer from my heart..

3rd day of school

today's my 3rd day of school. and i only had 1 lecture - INTRODUCTION TO CULTURAL STUDIES. i didnt know what to expect, but school was really quiet today. and mengching told me many people have their free days on wednesday. (AND I WANTED TO, BUT MY TIMETABLE WAS TOO CRAMPED.) well, it's my first time out of School of Science, and TO FASS, so i was so worried i got lost. FASS looks like a maze with LOOONGG and ZIGG-ZAGGED corridors. and i was alone once again, just like my first lecture. but thank God, there were nice people - Seili and Zulie - who invited me to sit with them. really, im glad i've made friends for all my lectures even though i didnt go for any orientation. God is indeed GOOD, bringing my friends so i dont have to be alone even before tutorials! anyway, cultural studies is really very interesting! and the lecturers are very funnyy. (: i think im going to enjoy this module. BUT! it's so artsyyyy!! so i really hope i'll write good essays. (try my best) =D

first day of school

it's my first day of school in nus.

was excited but wasnt sure of what's really going to happen coz i didnt go for any orientation so i dont know anyone and i dont know where the LTs were!!!

the first physics lecture was alright. though i was alone.. and i really dont see a single familiar facee.

but after my first lecture, i went to look for my secondary school classmate, tingting!

and her JC friends were going to the same lectures as me after that. so i had companion!

my first new friend - joanna. (:

went for maths lecture and we completed 1 chapter within 1.5 hrs on the first day of school.

i was really amazed.

after the last lecture, i met someone from my JC (dont really know her well).

but it's alright! we made friends there and then, coz we're majoring maths together!

so now, i will have a permanent lecture mate! YAY YAY YAY! =D

overall, the day ended much better than i expected. =)

anyway, i ended my tuition with jolene last week.

she wrote my a card, have me a hug.

she's really so adorable and sweet!

im glad she learnt something from me, results improved, and is much more optimistic already.

i will miss her!

my last week of holiday

im soo touched people still read my blog even though it's dead for quite some time. =x but i dont know when the next entry will come.. coz this is the last week of my OH-SO-LONG holiday ( from end Nov) finally im starting school.. and im glad i end my holiday GREAT. okay. so now I AM WATER BAPTISED!! :DDDDDDDD i went hongkong with my parents after that i had alot of fun! =) and with FOP last week, it was just a blast. FOP was really awesome and i enjoyed every single part of it. from serving in the beginning, to praise and worship, to the word.. everything was greater than what i thought! i enjoyed FOP more than last year, and i really can't wait for the next one to come! my water baptism was something i looked forward to. im glad my parents came. it was the one step closer to God. and i had this indescribable joy! my love for Him grew soo much. I LOVEEEE YOUUU! and now im looking forward to SOT next year. coz i just want to know Him more! I wanna thank mengching for being such a wonderful friend! (: LOVE HER. i wasnt clear about the system in nus so i asked mengching for help. She met me to explain to me the bidding of modules and more. she's just awesome. MY BESTEST CELLGROUP MEMBER! big step of faith #2

last night, i was so excited, i couldn't sleep. can't help but stand in awe of God, thinking about how good He is in my life. then: i took out my letter pad, pen, and a chinese dictionary. Wrote my dad a letter, about how much I love him and thank him for allowing me to be water baptised. Shared abit about God changing me life, and that I hope they saw the change in me.. Now, i just pray that this letter will open up his heart even more than before. I really want to see my family getting saved!

THE BIGGGG BIGGG BIGGG BIGG ANNOUNCEMENT : I AM GOING FOR WATER BAPTISED THIS JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is definitely a breakthrough for me. a BIG step of faith indeed. Actually this week, been thinking: i've been a christian for about 4 years, but i've never taken BIG steps of faith. God called me to rise up years back, but all the while, i've only been taking baby steps, growing slowly. and i know this is something that hinders me from my big breakthrough.. how i really felt, im gonna take big steps of faith from THAT DAY on. knowing that since God has called me, i need not fear, but everything God wants is what's more important. and truly, i can sense my breakthrough coming. just awhile ago.. preparing to ask my parents about the water baptism.. i told myself - i'm not going to let this chance pass me by ANYMORE. i've missed many many chances of water baptism, the chance of going bible school. all because of myself - unwilling to take that step of faith. daddy signed that piece of paper. it all seemed fast. i asked him if he was unhappy. but he said - if i dont allow, i wouldnt have let u continually go church. at that point in time, i knew i could have been water baptised long long time ago. i'm glad i didnt wait and procrastinate. im glad i FINALLY took THAT STEP. God is really good. God really is. and im amazed. i'm going to keep on challenging myself to that BIG steps of faith! Indeed, this season is really a time God's doing mighty things in our lives, as a church and also individually. During this period of time, how God spoke to me about rising up time and time again. How im more and more dependent on God. How i've learnt and taken on new perception of things and seeing things in more positive light. but God, im never satisfied with what i have with You. coz i know there's always more.. that even though i've made ONE breakthrough, im not going to stop there.. and i know, THERE'S MORE TO COMEEE. i knoww.. last thing: help me think of a baptism name!!!!!!! love, cwannn

about last week..

was hanging out with the zone people quite alot this week, heading to jurong west more often than any weeeek this year! on friday: firstly, i went for the morning pm @ jurong west church and i must say, it's awesome! i've never been to such pm before and it was really a new experience for me. and how i wish i could go again, but sad to say, i went on friday, which was the last already... i really wish it would carry onnnnn!! anyway, after that, together with some of the other zone people, we went jurong point mac, ( we were suppose to go bukit timah hill but... GWEN..LOL!). And you'll know how much nonsensical but funny and animated things the SA guys say. very entertaining. HAHA. then, SA guys went queensway while gwen, me and lester went anchor point to look for clothes! (: couldnt find anything there and so we went central. and me and gwen bought dresses there! (: yay yay yay! haha. we went long john and i watched gwen and lester study!!! (MUAHAHHA. I DONT HAVE TO STUDY MAHH) tried to teach lester maths but sadly, I FORGOT MOST OF THE THINGS. =x had cellgroup later that night at riverwalk and stef really preached a good msg! i enjoyed her peaching alot! (: HEEHHEHEHEE. on saturday: it was MINGHUI's BIG DAYYYYYYY and we went jurong west for her holy matt. ohh how sweet was that lovely couple. i still remembered when i was still in n317 and minghui announced she was with edmund. and shortly after, DE PROPOSAL. and finally comes this day--- minghui was gorgeous! like a princess!! (: CONGRATULATIONS TO MY DEAREST MINGHUI AND EDMUNDDD! =D and and and, SA GUYS "forced" us to go queensway with them like AGAIN.. and with richard, ravi and lester.. slacked at mac agaiinnnn. after awhile ravi, jon, lester, richard and i went bugis to look for weiwen and nick for dinner. the funny thing : i was wearing heels and holding SOUPY banmian trying to walk down the stairs. and i walked one step and i was stuckkkkk!! HAHAHHAHHA. Thanks nick who came to my rescueee and helped me carry my banmian. LOL! and of coz, e wedding dinner. haha. food was not bad! (: love e dessert! =D so i really had quite an exciting week. this week, it's time for me to PACK MY TABLE ( was untouched since a'levels =x) time to get ready for sch to start! (: get ready for my breakthrough. COZ I REALLY WANT ITT!!!! =)

Revival of this blog! WOOOHOOOO! and of coz i wanna blog about.... CAMP PHENOMENA-----!! It was a wonderful time together as a zone, playing, laughing, and experiencing God together! DAY ONE: we had workshops to learn how to preach, praise and worship God better. And i really learnt alot from the leaders, that i start to realise : EVERY MINOR DETAIL COUNTS. like in preaching: your eyebrows, facial expressions, tone and pitch of your voice... hey, i thought preaching was as easy as talking?!! Anyway, the next highlight of the day was the night session. and as many of you have read --the short skit. WAS AMAZING. it was short, no words, but was able to bring out the love our DADDY has for us. How He wouldnt give up fight for us even though it's tough. How He still love us even though we've let Him down. the whole night was just awesome and God spoke to me so clear Rekindle my passion for the dream that i have years back, when He called me. GOD REMEMBERS EVERY PROMISE HE MADE TO YOU! all in all, first night was GREAT. and after that had the funny night game! and then, comes the stress having mock cellgroup the next day, some of us stayed up to prepare for the message. i prayed again and again. because i really want to do a good job. it was my 1st time but thank God is was good! (: it's really big step for me and im glad I MADE IT! DAY TWO: Kind of like a zombie day due to the lack of sleep the previous day. So i kind of regret not getting enough sleep. Anyway, it was a day packed with activities:

We cut cut cut cut cut, until there's only 2.5 scenes i think. But i think it was still good! WELLDONE YELLOOWW! =D

And i slept really early that night -all tired outttt.

Camp was really fun and i learnt quite alot from weiwen - my team leader too.

im glad i've learnt alot from the camp even amidst of all the fun!! (:
